Balance Bars Review & Giveaway

What is Earth Day?
  1. Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, on which events are held worldwide to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the  Earth Day Network, and celebrated in more than 192 countries each year.
This year I was fortunate to have the opportunity to not only celebrate Earth Day myself BUT to help spread the word about staying healthy while thinking about and celebrating Earth Day with Balance Bar.

I have been a huge fan of Balance Bar since last year when I decided  to change my lifestyle. I changed the way I ate, the way I looked at food and the way I managed to keep myself on the right track. And during that journey I did a little research and found out Balance Bar would be the best fit. A year later, I am in love with Balance Bars I eat them after my workout for that boost of protein and best of all when I get my sweet cravings I can always count on Balance Bars to be there for me. Even when on the go I have found that Balance Bars are very convenient and tasty for me at the same time. I am thrilled to be able to review their Balance Bars Dark Chocolate Crunch Bars for Earth Day!

I am a big chocolate lover when it comes to sweets. Knowing that candy is no longer on my list I know that the Balance Bars Dark Chocolate Crunch Bars can help me satisfy my cravings in a healthy way with no regrets. Now I am no fitness trainer, but if I had to recommend a delicious way to help with those chocolate cravings I would totally recommend the Dark Chocolate Crunch Bars by Balance Bars. Especially for myself, I always get a sweet tooth after my workout session at the gym. But trying to find that perfect bar with the right amount of nutrients and protein I always find myself with a Balance Bar.

Some amazing facts about the bar if you didn't know: The Dark Chocolate Crunch Bar is 100% Rain-forest alliance certified Cocoa. It is Gluten free (my favorite fact about the bar). 13 grams of protein which is amazing to me. This is one of the main reasons why I love this Balance Bar. It has a high amount of protein. 4% fiber which is also another plus in my book. Excellent source of Antioxidants. Vitamins A,C,E and Vitamin D. And it has Kosher. The ingredients in these bars follow the 40-30-30 nutrition principle which is a proven formula developed by scientists to help stabilize blood sugar levels and represents the caloric ratio your body needs to enjoy lasting balanced energy and satisfy hunger for longer.

Balance Bar was one of the originators of energy bars and the nutrition bar category, founded in 1992 by a group of sports enthusiasts, scientists and people with a passion for life. They started the company to help consumers find balance in their lives – the meaning behind their name. Since its founding, Balance Bar has added several flavors, styles and formats of energy bars to make nutrition easy and delicious for everyone. They offer a bar for every possible taste! Makeup Forever Mat Velvet & Full Coverage Concealer Review

Well hello there beautiful, thanks for stopping by. Today's review is my favorite I shall say. Let me give you all a little background to how this review came about. I only review the BEST makeup out there. So please sit down and relax. Lol because this is about to get good.

So last week I went to my Sephora to look for a full coverage foundation. I have oily skin on my face so trying to find that without help was going to be a mission. So my first color match was done by a guy. My theory about guys and makeup, they're better than us women. Hands down. So anyways, he matched me to the Kat Von D tattoo foundation which is supposed to be the best full coverage right now. At the store yes the color matched. I was excited to wear it the next day to work. And I did....looking like a ghost from the grave. Ugh. Great. Another trip to Sephora. So a couple days later I go back. Different gal tells me that with the Kat Von D foundation is a bit tricky. You either match it or you don't So, she recommended me the Clinique foundation. Matched me, took it home and again couldn't wait to try it in the morning for work. Again, the biggest fail. I look pale and oh my goodness it didn't fit me at all. Went back to Sephora the next day BUT to a different Sephora. Told them my annoyance of coming for the 3rd time. She said sit down I know the perfect foundation for you. And she brought out the Makeup Forever Mat Velvet foundation. Tried it on and wow, perfect match. I asked her then how I needed a full coverage under eye foundation. She then came out with the Makeup Forever concealer. Bam perfect match. I guess 3rd time is a charm for some of us. Anyways here is my picture after applying the makeup on. My skin looks flawless, fresh and I just feel wonderful. Makeup Forever is my new best friend.

Here is my flawless picture. I have very dark under eye circles and you can't tell I do on here. I did not touch up anything this is the original photo. Very amazing products. Very satisfied and happy that I bought these items.

Bath & Body Works Candle Review

Have you ever bought a candle that was highly recommended by You-Tubers or those "advertisers" whom claim to so be "obsessed" with an "amazing" candle? Yeah I think we've all been there before. Well, on Monday  I decided to stop by Bath and Body Works to check out their candles. This week you can grab their 3 wick candles 2/$22 each one is individually priced at $22.50 and above. I wasn't going to buy any candles because I really didn't need them nor did I believe they give that aroma I expect. And for that price I really expected a lot from their candles. Anyways, I smelled almost all of their candles and I only liked, not love, 2 scents, Hawaiian Hibiscus and Red Guava Lava. The only ones that caught my attention. Anyways, got home and turned on the Hawaiian candle first. I couldn't get the wick to turn on so I kept trying to turn on the wicks. After my 4th attempt I finally started them off. I loved the look of the wicks burning it looked very relaxing and just something I can stare at. At first I didn't smell anything at all. I let an hour pass and still nothing. I left it on over night to see if something would give off and it did...just a little. I was kind of disappointed because I knew it was too good to be true. But then again some of you may have experienced differently than I have.

So for their candles overall I would give them a 7/10. The presentation of the candle and the look of them I rate them a 10/10. Their pricing for the candle I rate them a 5/10. Reason being is because who would want to pay over 20 bucks for a candle that's not really going to give a strong scent? I want my money's worth. I would honestly pay the most 8 bucks for this candle if I were to give it it's worth. I truly believe if anyone is going to be honest about a product I would be the first to raise my hand. Thank you for stopping by!

This post is in no way sponsored. I purchased these products with my own money. All opinions are my own 100% honesty.

Who Keeps You Healthy

                                         American Recall Center

Being healthy has many meanings to us. It means eating healthy organic foods, being active and working out, laughing, smiling, being happy etc etc. Since last year toward the end of February of 2013 healthy has been the new definition of my new lifestyle. My biggest motivation, my boyfriend.

We have been together for merely over a year now. It all began when we both noticed our eating habits were not healthy. We ate out a lot, we felt very guilty which isn't a good feeling after eating a certain meal. No one should ever feel guilty about eating something. So, we both decided to change our eating habits and get in shape. First thing was first, we both changed the way we ate, drank more water and targeted on losing weight before we got into building muscle, (which we are both now at 3 months of building muscle). Along with eating healthy and losing our weight we were doing Insanity workouts featuring Shaun T 6xs a week. Very hard commitment let me tell you, but he pushed me. Everyday he reminded me of how I was able to do it. That in the end it would be all worth it. And it has been. It's been over a year now and we are still continuing our healthy lifestyle. We are still doing Insanity and both going to the gym when we can. I'm usually the gym rat waking up at 330 in the morning to get my workout at 4. While he waits until he gets out of work, but either way we are motivating each other to continue our healthy living together. Today, I've lost 22 pounds of fat, I've gained a lot of muscle and I have to admit I have NOT gotten sick what so ever. No flu no nothing. And I know it's because of our healthy living. Thank you to my boyfriends motivational words to keep me going!

American Recall Center is focusing on hip replacement this month. Their recent contributor, Amy, kindly shared her hip replacement story with the world. Which inspired this campaign. You can read more about hip replacement at Hip Replacement American Recall Center. Toilet Paper and Hand Towel paper deal at K-Mart 2/16-2/22

So if you haven't heard, K-Mart is having a pretty good deal that ends tomorrow I repeat, TOMORROW!. I was happy that they stocked up on this at my local Kmart because there were a lot of people grabbing this deal I couldn't believe it. Make sure that if you don't have this weeks ad in hand ask one of the cashiers for a store ad. I had to ask for one since I forgot mine at home. The back page has a bunch of store coupons you'll need in order to score a great deal.

The 12pk of Cottonelle both the Ultra and the Clean Care are $5.99 without the in ad coupon. Make sure you clip that in ad coupon to make these $3.99 each. There's a limit of 2. I also got the 6pk of Viva hand towels. Also at $5.99 but with the in ad coupon will make them each $3.99. When you literally think about this deal it's actually a great deal. A regular 12 pack of toilet paper by Charmin would cost you about what I spent here in this picture or even more like about 18.00 bucks. I like Cottonelle although it's not my first choice, but for $3.99 I had to grab it. In total I spent $15.96 for all 4.
